Location

The Hilton Ushuaia Hotel will be built on the Beagle Channel, 5 minutes from the Ushuaia International Airport. It will have 204 rooms and its opening schedule is scheduled for December 2026.

Ushuaia

Ushuaia is the capital of Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur Province in Argentina. It is the southernmost city in the world. Ushuaia is located on a wide bay on the southern coast of Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, bounded on the north by the Martial mountain range, and on the south by the Beagle Channel. It is the only municipality in the Department of Ushuaia, which has an area of 9,390 km2 (3,625 sq mi). It was founded on October 12, 1884 by Augusto Lasserre and is located on the shores of the Beagle Channel surrounded by the mountain range of the Martial Glacier, in the Bay of Ushuaia.

Ushuaia claims to be the world’s southern-most city, albeit a small one. It is surrounded by the wilderness and lakes of Tierra del Fuego, a perfect location for activities and watching wildlife.

Located over 3,000 kilometres south of Buenos Aires, Ushuaia lies in a dramatic position overlooking the Beagle Channel.

It is a port city, the capital of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and the South Atlantic Islands.

Situated south of the Magellan Strait, Tierra del Fuego is the archipelago’s largest island, separated by water from Patagonia. This island is divided by the Andes Mountains into two regions: the northern plains and the mountainous south with its stunning scenery of deep fjords, snow-capped peaks, forests and glacial lakes.

Located on Isla Grande at the southernmost tip of Argentina, Ushuaia is the ideal base for adventures in the region known as the End of the World. Wedged between the southern Andes and the frigid waters of the Beagle Channel, the provincial capital of Tierra del Fuego has long served as a jumping-off point for excursions on land and sea, from Antarctica cruises to glacier explorations.

Thanks to the city’s booming tourist economy, visitors no longer have to settle for rough-and-tumble accommodations. Luxury hotels are beginning to spring up next to the nondescript housing built to provide housing for workers lured by high wages.
